VIP tiers
Tiers give your best customers a reason to stay: they earn points faster and unlock rewards other members can't.
How tiers work
- Members move up by the points they've earned in total, not their current balance — so spending points on rewards never costs them their tier.
- Each tier has an order multiplier. It applies to points earned from orders: at 1.5x, an order worth 40 points earns 60.
- Refunds and cancelled orders take earned points back, which can move a member down a tier.
The starter tiers
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Bronze | Reached at 0 points — every member starts here. 1x on orders. |
| Silver | Reached at 500 points earned. 1.25x on orders. |
| Gold | Reached at 2,000 points earned. 1.5x on orders, plus Gold-only rewards. |
Add or edit a tier
Go to VIP tiers in the app menu and click Add tier, or click a tier to edit it.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | e.g. Gold. Shown in the widget and on the customer's account page. |
| Reached at | Points earned in total to reach the tier. Use 0 for the tier every member starts in. |
| Order multiplier | Between 1 and 10. 1.5 means 50% more points on every order. |
| Color | The tier's color in the widget. |
| Perks | One per line. Shown to customers in the widget's VIP tab. |
Tip: Perks don't have to be points. "Early access to sales" or "A free gift with every order" are fine — just remember the app shows them; you deliver them.
Tier-only rewards
When you add a reward, set Who can redeem to a tier. Members below it see the reward marked with the tier name, which gives them something to aim for. See Rewards.
Plan
VIP tiers need the Starter plan or higher. On Free you can set tiers up, but customers won't see them until you upgrade. See Plans & billing.
